Dee Snider To Host "Matzo And Metal"
VH1 Classic presents a first-ever television special event that is sure to have you shouting Shalom! "Matzo and Metal: A Very Classic Passover" invites viewers -- Jews and Gentiles alike -- to the network's own version of a rock-n-roll Passover Seder attended by heavy metal and hard rock artists who happen to be Jewish.

Premiering on the second night of Passover, Sunday, April 24th at 7 p.m. ET, the one-hour special features host Dee Snider (half Jewish) and Scott Ian of Anthrax, Leslie West of Mountain and Snider's Twisted Sister bandmate JJ French discussing their experiences in the music industry as well as their Jewish heritage over a special Passover meal. All foods served will be Kosher of course courtesy of the special's sponsor Manischewitz.

Those unfamiliar with a Passover Seder will hear how music plays a key role in the traditional dinner and see how the rich history of Passover is shared through storytelling. And hard rock and heavy metal musicians certainly have plenty of stories!

Ex-Korn member and Baldwin Brother Form Label
Ex-Korn founder Brian "Head" Welch and Stephen Baldwin have partnered to form Livin It Records. "Head" currently is working on his first solo record.

Baldwin, known as of late for his extreme sports ministry Livin It - a skateboarding, BMX, motor cross outreach to the youth - is currently touring the US. Baldwin and Welch believe that this brand of ministry is sure to quickly become the forerunner of a new edgier way to impact today's youth. With that belief, they have joined forces to keep up the momentum of this movement in a non-traditional way.

Baldwin says, "We are not trying to reinvent the wheel, we are just trying to bring God and the Bible to the kids in a hard core way that they can relate to. There is almost, nothing out there in the Christian Marketplace that the kids can connect with! This same idea holds true in the Mainstream Marketplace where the kids will start to see that the faith-based culture can be MORE hard core."

Gigantour
The Dillinger Escape Plan will join Megadeth, Dream Theater, Fear Factory, Nevermore and others on this summer's just-announced "Gigantour". Set to launch in late July, Gigantour is a six-week festival trek whose moniker was inspired by the classic 1960s cartoon "Gigantor" and will criss-cross North America. On the topic of touring with Dillinger, Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine commented, "I think The Dillinger Escape Plan are really going to add something different to the tour and bring some new people in."
