Lately, I have noticed I am looking for some kind of sign. Questioning the direction I am heading is part of the norm. I appear to be running somewhere but I am not sure where I expect to be.
I wonder do any of us have to lose ourselves on the way to finding out who we really are? Confusion leaves and the dust settles. Only then do I see the path which was meant for me. Come imagine you are in a tropical jungle (alone) without even have hired a guide. A tiger appears from out of nowhere! Seconds later, you spot a young native boy. He offers you assistance and you feel safe. When you become Hearing Impaired your life is as alarming as the wild jungle everyday. You stumble around on your own. The world (for you) is thrown out of proportion! You search to escape all the lions, tigers and snakes crawling around where you are. All you can do is scratch your head in confusion and marvel at the person you have been forced to become. No, indeed you can do lots more. Where do I go from here? Your answer should be is you must adapt to survive the best way you know for you. For example, I love to surround myself with writing, books, planning trips to new or places I have been to, looking at photographs of the people I love and even making plans for a brighter future. I don't have to even leave my abode to do all of the above. Last Sunday, I had to change plans I had already made again. My two friends, Ruth and Rosa had asked my room-mate, Peggy and I to attend a concert in Huntington Beach, Ca. Peggy has Sleep Apnea, Diabetes, Parkinson's Disease. She has the CPAP now. Yet, because we both are going through the change in life, sleep doesn't come easy. The sisters left for the show. About an hour later, we received a surprise visit from our friend, Vicki and her son, Andrew. Vicki is a single mom. They ( Vicki and Andrew)were in need of assistance. Peggy and I were able to guide them out of the jungle. We talked about our lives. Vicki is now a student at LACC College( I got my AA there in 1974 in General Education) and almost ready to graduate. I was so happy to hear her GREAT news I almost cried. Remember I am a woman with Menopause, hee, hee. Go To Page: 1 2
