Moving On

To err is Human to forgive divine.

Moving on allows one to grow spiritually. Forgiving oneself expedites the progress and helps to cleanse the soul. I realized my hearing impairment was a big factor in slowing down the achievement of the goals I wanted to complete in my life. I came to the conclusion I had to forgive me.

In order to push ahead and move on I had to liftoff the baggage and watch it fly away. Forgiving is a first step. Then you must forget, so you're able to like yourself for who you are.

I have been dealing with depression for many years. To several people, all they see is someone just using depression as a reason for self pity. I wish I had forgiven myself for blaming myself when in truth this is no solution to the problem at all.

Depression cripples the spirit. When you add to my emotional state, learning I had become hearing impaired, this threw me off balance, and heightened the depression. Maybe you'll be able to understand just how low my ego sank from the knowledge of my hearing impairment. Take for example how I felt when I discovered I would have to make several changes in my daily living. Just to become more whole (as a human being) to fit into a society, which in the past I had never had a problem being a part of. The severity of my new found knowledge sent me into a tail-spin losing altitude ready to crash to the ground with magnificent force.

During our life there will be a little rain (sometimes this may instead become a downpour) we must learn to overcome. How we individually handle these events and learn to accept them into our lives shows our true character. On the surface I may appear to be a strong and focused woman.

I diligently aim my arrow towards the target to hit a bullseye. Some days are easier to deal with than other days. Yet doing my writing at home doesn't stop the distractions. Infact, it may actually hinder them. I just move forward so I can meet the deadlines and send out the queries.

Depression does (at times) slow down my writing process. Strangely enough I seem to work better under pressure. As I realize the deadline becomes closer I manage to complete the work with more ease. It seems to put a fire under my bootie which in turn inspires me to complete the task at hand.
