Regaining Balance In Your LifeRegaining balance back in your life isn't always easy. Hearing impairment throws off feelings of control over your life. Take hold of the wheel, so you are able to steer your ship on an even keel again. When you realize the fact all during your lifetime you'll have changes, you'll come to grips with events which may be beyond anyone's command. Intensity fuels the disarray. Once we examine the dilemma and sort out the repercussions then we have the strength to face the challenge head on for a smoother ride. For the last few weeks my ship has been tossed and turned quite a bit. The computer I use for my writing and correspendence crashed. All the files were deleted. I was frustrated every time I got back on to continue working on it. After regaining my composure, I snapped back to the reality of the situation. I wasn't going to give into lives imperfections. The cards we are given aren't always good ones, so it becomes necessary to overcome feelings of distress and press on with your life. Every once in awhile I find myself looking for a way to keep my life in balance. Juggling the priorities becomes a strain. The writing, the job as an aide and trying to maintain balance in spite of my hearing impairment can become out of proportion at any given moment. A temporary solution was within my grasps. A short trip to Las Vegas, NV to catch up with a few friends was a blessing I knew would be a cure-all. The drive was relaxing and there wasn't much traffic at 6:00 AM. Balancing your life can often be located closer then you imagine. Tear down the walls of insecurity to rid yourself of the feelings of loneliness. There isn't a prescription a doctor can write for you to ease all of the stresses attacking your body. Although the trip on Saturday was a short one, the time spent was worth the effort made. Ruth, Rosa, Peggy and I went to a collectible shop, before we saw two shows ( 4 & 7 PM) at the New Frontier. They (Frank and Shaun) are currently in another show called, "The Rock and Roll Legends." Johnny Edwards is Elvis and Roy Orbison in the act, along with a Neil Diamond, and a Stevie Nicks impersonator. The last visit we had with the guys was the end of October. Finally, the scales were balanced on the constructive side.
