Directions We Follow

Changes in our life will propel us down many paths. While traveling down these roads we'll experience obstacles along the way. In order to find success we must overcome all obstacles and follow our dreams.

Hearing impairment is a very powerful barrier. Many times you will feel yourself stumbling and falling. Locate the reason, dismiss them and continue on your way.

Often we tend to judge ourselves very harshly. We scrutinize any imperfection (adding fuel to the fire) allowing them to keep us down, for no reason at all. Confusion and uncertainty must be removed before the path becomes clear.

As the New Year has already started it is customary to

list the changes we hope to keep during the New Year. Why must we choose to modify the person we were in the year past? We have redeeming qualities if we look constructively in our souls.

Accepting ourselves should be easier to do. It's important so we'll be able to better understand ourselves. We need to acknowledge ourselves. When we don't, we loose sight of the direction which is right for us.

Trusting your instincts is helpful in accomplishing all of your dreams. When there is an opening you need not be scared away from the chance for advancement. Grab the brass ring and hang on for the ride of your life. Hearing impairment isn't an excuse not to go the extra mile, so send out your best shot.

The sad truth is many of us (at one time or another) are overridden by our fear of success. If you set the wheels in motion to achieve your goals, all the what if's won't amount to much at all. Put your best foot forward instead of crying the blues.

Being in the right place at the correct time does have it's advantages. Is it luck or fate keeping us persevering when others see a hopeless situation? The tides will turn in your favor leaving you on the top.

Before the end of 2001 I decided my progress as a writer required a little jump start. I re-subscribed to Writer's Digest Magazine. To learn from other writers the direction I should be going with my own writing.

To my delight I viewed an advertisement for a writers conference in March in the town of Sparks, NV. (not far from Reno). I e-mailed my snail addresss and received their brochure.

Around the same time I queried to Trips and Journey an online publication. The editor showed an interest in me writing a story about my upcoming trip and hotel I will be visiting in March.
