ConvictionsStick to your convictions and try not to stray far from the path which you desire. Along the way steer away from any temptations, which could alter your future. Heed the voice of experience, since it will always come to your aid. Challenges should never keep you away from accomplishing whatever it is you desire. Of course, there will be moments where you'll ask yourself can I really do this? The answer should be yes, I sure can! I know every writer has a different source for their inspiration. As for mine, my writing helps me express who I am and my convictions. Conviction is as much a part of my life as The United States Of America is the country I'm proud to declare as mine. As in our great country we still have freedom of speech. There are layers of contradictions in life. Hearing impairment is a complex matter. The longer you consider it to be a problem the worse off you'll be. Learning to simply live, as the person you were meant to be, takes patience and a great deal of focus however, you can do it. Consider the fact life is a very precious gift we've been given. Work on concentrating on the inside rather than emphasizing what others may notice we lack. Rolling up your sleeves and pitching in when needed will help each of us to be a part of the norm. Instead of finding reasons to be excluded try to realize you have much to offer others. Nurturing is a wonderful opportunity to grow emotionally. Closing off ourselves will cause our spirit to wither. People may form opinions without considering all of the options. Insecurity regarding a handicap can be turned around without alot of effort. With your convictions strong, get back into the mainstream of life. Although your hearing impairment is an on-going win-lose situation the worse thing we can do is isolate ourselves from the hearing world. Fear creeps around only if you give into it. The benefits of shared company is worth any anxiety we may feel at the time. Remind yourself how truly pitiful it would be to be all alone. Replace the misguided feelings of anger, resentment, and envy with emotions which are uplifting. Why would you want to carry around such defeating thoughts within your mind? The only thing to do in the few remaining days of 2001, is to stand on different convictions. Open up your heart and be grateful for the wonderful times in your life and the loved ones who always surround you. Thanks everyone, looking forward to seeing you all in 2002.
