Hear The Love In Your Heart

Hearing impairment shouldn't block the love in your heart. While we are busy hustling with the errands the festivities thrust upon us, it is important to remember all of the love which is a part of the Holiday Season. One of my favorite sounds are the words Merry Christmas to you, during this time of the year.

Another one of my favorite activities of Christmas takes place at Temple City, city hall. The project at hand is for the people in the community to collect socks for the homeless (men, woman, children). Just this past Friday, my roommate and I brought our contribution to add to the rest of the collection. We immensely enjoy the happiness we receive from helping others in any way we can. People with disabilities are still able to spend time with their families and friends.

The celebration wouldn't be complete without the joy of music. Through the flow of the beautiful songs, all of us can be uplifted. With a lighter spirit I am aided to keep everything in it's perspective.

As the days draw closer to the Holidays, there has been another sad moment in the world of music. George Harrison (of the Beatles) passed away Nov.29th of cancer. It was early in Nov. this year when a group of my friends and I attended a concert in Anaheim, CA. The band: The Fab Four played a lovely tribute to a packed venue.

Love and music build a foundation for us to fall back on when sad events happen. The love gives us strength when we need to call on it. Any kind of loss needs great inner strength so we are competent enough to survive what life hands us.

Hearing impairment shouldn't cause us to close our hearts. Look in your heart to find guidance. Don't be afraid to go after opportunities which are near or far.

Feel the love in your own heart. Others will be inspired by the courage they see in you. The first step is always the hardest to make, yet you'll be happy when you have done it.

Especially at this time of the year it's imperative for all of us to enclose ourselves in the feelings of love. The soul keeps our spirit high, when we are engulfed with happiness, good tidings, and loving thoughts.

Join in any way you can to find peace in your heart. Don't block out or avoid the love, as the song says, "Put a Little Love in Your Heart.
