Love Brings Power

Love gives us a spiritual boost when we accept it. We are able to solve problems easier, when we know we have love in our lives. I find there is still joy around me, despite the fact one of my sixth senses isn't functioning up to par.

The world will offer all of it's riches, however, without love surrounding you in your life, what's the good of having all this power? There will be loneliness if you have no one to share fond memories with.

John Lennon wrote, (in his song, "Watching the Wheels") "There are no problems, only solutions." Isn't it strange we measure success by the material possessions we own? All our lives we break our backs striving to achieve power, possessions, and money. Why is it we never seem to comprehend there is much more power in love than any worldly possessions?

Although I am hearing impaired for me there is no greater sense of pride then watching a small child's smile and knowing in some way I was responsible for their happiness. My disability can deter me from mingling with large groups. Yet, I attended a 6 year olds Birthday party and was truly glad I did.

The restaurant was quite noisey due to loud arcade games, and other groups celebrating their children's Birthdays. Luis had only been living in the USA since June of 2001. He, and his mother Matilde are waiting to become citizens, in three more years. His brother Arthur is already an American citizen.

Living should never center on our afflictions or gaining power. Don't allow certain ideas to control your chances to gain power. The situation to overcome your handicap will help you gain your power.

Appreciating your own self-worth will soon become an everyday occurance, once you learn to be honest with yourself. Looking at others possessions, instead of appreciating your own lives goals and achievements will end up being self-destructive. You don't have to feel like Superman afraid of kryptomites strong powers of defeat.

Love can bring you power when you're willing to take hold of it's positive effect. I'm so thankful I was able to gain power from the honest love of a young child's heart shining through. Often at the height of my fear, I am deluded of the strength of my own power.

A few days ago I saw a lady who works at our local city hall. I caught her up on the events I've been experiencing regarding my roommates new family. I informed Karen, I hadn't been avoiding the volunteer work I had begun in April. Again the feeling of pride overcame any inferior feelings I may have previously been experiencing. The lift was very empowering to my spirit. I soared high!
