Listen To Your HeartListen to your heart, when you need answers to your questions about life. Your head can often fool you. It is better to listen to your heart. Your heart shows you a more accurate picture. In the past years, after discovering I was hearing impaired, I still question why this condition was my destiny. I had to look at my future from a different perspective. When I listen to my heart, I know I must stop looking for blame. Listening to your heart will help you in other areas as well. Try to eliminate any disappointment from ruining any chance you may have in the future. Tell yourself, if we're always able to have our way, where would the challenge in our lives be? Life contains taking risks. Go out and let your heart lead you down the path to make your efforts into realities. Where's the fun in being a mere spectator, when with a small challenge, and your hearts advise, you can do so much more. As a writer, I know all about taking risks. Yet even though I'm hearing impaired, I try not to take everything to seriously. After all, being hearing impaired, isn't a jail sentence. I sometimes have to keep reminding myself, that I'm capable of making my own miracles happen. Getting stuck in a rut, can put blinders on you, and prevent you from trying new things. I'm looking into the opportunity to travel on a cruise to Rosarito Beach, Mexico. Learning new cultures and their histories is a way to expand your knowledge. In the past, on occasions, I have decided to forgo attending a class, or college, or traveling to another state. I felt, at that particular time, I wouldn't be able to do it. I let my head rule my life, instead of listening to my heart. I'm not suggesting for anyone to go out and do things without first thinking the scenario through. What I am saying, is (every once in awhile) we need to find some relief and experience something that is a change from the normal everyday routine of our lives. Hearing impairment doesn't have to be a prison sentence. Our head will lead us to believe we're unable to succeed in some things, while our hearts will guide us down the path of accomplishing our true desires. If we allow fear to creep into our lives, then we'll be unable to build our sandcastles. This, would be a terrible shame. Let's listen to our hearts, so we'll have glorious memories to recall in the years ahead. All of us are able to be like Don Quixote, in the "Man Of La Mancha."
