Third, most experts recommend that men and women should take between 15 mg. and 75 mg. a day in one to three divided doses. Most human studies use 50 mg. and this is typical of most people who use DHEA for youth regeneration. There are, however, experts that believe 5 mg. to 15 mg. may be best.

It seems clear that properly managed DHEA therapy can be a valuable part of every older person’s overall health plan. Research has shown that both men and women can profit from regular use of DHEA to improve mental function, sexual satisfaction, reduce inflammatory diseases, and increase energy levels. Many people taking DHEA report feeling happier and youthful. Consult with your medical or naturopathic health provider to help you decide if DHEA therapy would be worthy of consideration.
