With so many avenues left unexplored, scientists are conducting numerous studies concerning the various aspects of melatonin. Knowledge of the hormone is still so limited that research presently remains in its preliminary stages. Although no risks or side effects have yet been reported concerning melatonin usage, the safety issue still remains inconclusive and unsubstantiated.
