Pierced Ears

Believe it or not there are people in the world who have not taken the piercing plunge even for their ears. Well,today there are numerous reputable salons that will pierce your ears painlessly and safely for a reasonable fee. If you are going to pierce a baby’s ears,the best time to do this is pretty soon after they are born. Please note that this is only my opinion but,personally,I don’t like the idea of piercing babies ears because they tend to pull on their ears and play with their ear lobes. But a lot of people I know have done it,including one of my best friends. It’s really a matter of how you feel about it.You can have accidents with pierced ears even when older. Stuff happens! Now,when you go to have your ears pierced,of course you want to go to a reputable place. Some salons pierce everything from head to toe so you can probably go to the place you normally have your hair done. Do check it out. Ask questions. What do they use? How do they sterilize their equipment? How do they disinfect? Be nosey! There is no pride in your ears getting infected. It’s down right painful! Listen to the instructions that are given to you,though they will be simple,follow them. The care that is taken for about a week after piercing will payoff for as long as your ears are pierced,which could be a life time. You should never try to pierce your own ears. Unless,of course,you are a reputable ear piercer or technician and have proper tools. You could get more than just an infection.You don’t want to find out. Now as far as body piercing goes,not all salons do it. This is quite different than just your ears. You should get expert advise before you pierce any other part of your body. Again,if you insist on piercing other parts than your ears,please check out the salons reputation. Personally if it is not a salon I wouldn’t even attempt it. Ask questions! If they don’t answer them for you don’t do it and you are under 18 years of age you should get permission from your parents. Besides,a reputable salon won’t pierce anything without a parent’s consent if you are under age. You could become seriously ill. It’s not worth it. So please be careful. I personally do not condone body piercing. Ears are enough to contend with. Doing things right will ensure good health.
