Holiday Complexion Lookout

Holiday Complexion Lookout By Pamela Conoly

Oh Boy! Look at all the chocolate and treats. Here it comes! Candies, cake, pies,FOOD! Mostly sweets are usually the culprit for skin problems that seem to pop up overnight, usually after a big Holiday dinner. Well, this doesn’t have to be a nightmare. When you are bombarded by tables full of mostly desserts and very little real food and even the real food is made in such a way that it gives you zits just looking at it,the best and most sensible to deal with this is to only put a teaspoonful of everything on your plate. But,this only works if you do not go back for seconds. I realize that a teaspoonful is only a taste. But,if there is a whole table spread out in front of you of yummy, tantalizing goodies and you want to taste them all then this is the way to go. You will get to try everything and you may be surprised at how little you will eat and how much more satisfied you will feel. Now,the cleaner you complexion is in the first place it is highly unlikely that you will suffer terminal complexion problems from that little bit of tasting everything. But remember, the trick is to not go back after the first trip. A tespoonful of each thing allows more room on your plate and satisfies the need to want to try everything. If there are brownies cut one of them in half. Leave the other half. You will be happier and your complexion with thank you! It is most important when that special day or night is over and before you retire that you take your makeup off and cleanse properly before lying down. It’s harder for bacteria to get started in clean pores. On the other hand,it takes a while to clean up a complexion already hindered by poor diet. Happy Holidays! 

*** Please note that these suggestions only work if you have been keeping a proper regimen for skincare. If you need to start taking care of your complexion then I invite you to read one of my previous articles entitled “Skincare Please”. Also,I am not saying that you should eat everything in sight. If you are on a diet, especially prescribed by a doctor then you should do what your doctor says and forgo any of these suggestions. If you have a food allergy and you know that eating even a teaspoon of something will make you ill then please do not do it. Exercise good common sense.
