Festive Hair!
By Pamela Conoly
Tis the season to have hair,fa la la la la la what to do? What are you going to do with your hair? Well,it depends on what shape it’s in. By that,I really mean what style. For example, let’s take short hair. If it is permed you can smooth a little back on the sides just above the ears with some pretty clips. For longer perms, shoulder length or longer, you could put part of it up into a traditional bun and leave part down in the front and swab a little glittery gel on the hanging strands, just a bit. Now,for hair that is not permed and just straight. Short, straight hair need not be dull. A little curling iron can go a long way. Curl the top and bottom only, shake your head, wisp on some glitter gel. You might want to spray it first and then apply the gel so that it will adhere better. If you shake and your hair does not fall right, then just adjust a little with a comb to achieve the look you want. Longer hair, shoulder length, has a better chance turned under. Don’t be afraid that a pretty festive headband would be geaky on the contrary,it can be quite beautiful so go for it! Sometimes The smallest things can be extraordinary. Longer length, straight hair, bangs or not,can always do good with a french twist with streaks of glitter or not. Either way this is very festive and beautiful especially with a low neck line. Then you can trip the night fantastic with a little body glitter gel, just a little. Festive holiday hair pins of silver and gold,it’s okay to wear both, rhinestone headbands and Christmasy holiday ribbon are acceptable as well as fashionable décor to help out with any festive do! Just be sure to do your hair last as well as your body gel. It is also a good idea to use a towel around your neck, draped over your party dress or evening attire especially if it is a dark color. Particularly if you are wearing black velvet. Glitter usually looks great and shows up more, but for some reason it is also especially hard to get the gel out of black velvet. More so than red or any other color. I think it is because of the dye that is used to make black velvet. I hope that these helpful hints will make your Holiday parties a real Blast! Happy Holidays!
