Costume Party LooksCostume Party Looks By Pamela Conoly I love this time of year! Leaves on the ground, all colors. There is a certain crispness in the air, carved pumkins, indian corn and scarecrows festively placed to bring a sense of harvest as costume parties pop up across your agenda! So what kind of makeup and how much is too much? Relax. This is one time when you get to be creative! Just about anything goes from masks to sequins. Yes,sequins! However,it does make a difference what you use to adhere(stick) decorations to your face especially around the eyes. Spirit gum is usually used to stick fake jewels, mustaches, etc,to your skin. Around the eyes is where you need to be particularly careful. The amount of spirit gum(found at party stores)you apply determines the difficulty or ease of removing it later. Always be sure to apply it to the object first before applying it to your skin and do it sparingly(very little). If you apply too much it will adhere really well but will hurt really bad when you try to remove it,maybe even injure yourself. Vaseline is okay for really small objects but as the night goes on dancing and sweat may make décore slid right off.Make sure that the store or shop from which you purchase your spirit gum is a reputable one. There are many different kinds, some are imported so be careful. Do not be afraid to ask. It could save your skin! :) ,
