Sun Savvy

SUN SAVVY BY PAMELA CONOLY

Everyone loves a tan,so we lather up with the latest tanning product. But, If you are not using a sunscreen you may be in for a lot of trouble in the long run, even if you have never used sunscreen in your entire life. I know everybody and their dog talks about not getting too much sun,and using a sunscreen.

But, the products have greatly improved over the years. Besides, it is just as stylish to have a healthy looking glow as it is to have a healthy tan.

Using a sunscreen does not mean forgoing a great tan. Your body’s own natural PH will make you tan from being out in the sun. Having the added protection just ensures that you won’t get burned, providing you follow directions on the product packaging, and use common sense(like wearing a hat .) There is no doubt that too much sun is not good for you in more ways than one. Basking in the sun, everday, all day,is just not worth it.

There is,also, something to be said for self tanning products that tan you without the sun. Granted, some of them are hard to use,not to mention a lot of trouble. But,may be worth the effort if your looking for that certain look with an evening gown, summer party or just to hide strap marks if your not so bold as to sunbathe in the nude. Nonetheless, use caution and good sense and you will have a wonderful summer!

Whatever way you decide to go for that healthy glow,be it a tan,or the natural look, make it a healthy, beneficial choice for your own sake. You will be glad later in life.

**Most of the things in this article are based on my own experiences. I do not condone, nor have I ever sunbathed in the nude.
