Mainstream BeautyMAINSTREAM BEAUTY By Pamela Conoly Most of us start the morning, each day,by putting our faces on. We seem to have no trouble achieving the perfect look in the morning. But during the course of the day it diminishes to a somewhat trifle look by afternoon. Creasing eye colors, feathering lip color(which bleeds up into the top line of your lips) are one problem. While shiny nose, cheeks, chin and forehead (the T-Zone) are quite another. Don’t fret! With a little preventative maintanance, these problems can be diminished or avoided all together in some cases. 1. For starters, never go to bed with your makeup on. The longer you have it on the longer I will be in your pores. Some foundations do not clog your pores. But, this does not mean that you should leave it on overnight! Your body is still working ,even when your asleep. You will awaken with an oily mess, not to mention stained linens. The cleaner your face is before retiring, the less problems you will have, especially if you cleanse your face in the morning too. 2. Choose a cleanser suited to your skin type. For example,if you have very oily skin you need a cleanser that cleanses deeply into the pores to remove as much depree as possible. This doesn’t necessarily mean it has to be a scrub. 3. Exfoliating,(using a mask)twice a week is a good way to remove excess dirt, and dead skin from your pores. You never need to do this more than twice a week! 4.If you use a moisturizer, please be sure that you are not using a soap or cleanser that already has a moisturizer in it. This will cause too much moisturization and result in a rash along the hairline or,even worse…………..Zits! For feathering of the lip color by the end of the day, using a lip liner before applying lip color will help with this problem. If you can find a lip enhancer, usually found at finer cosmetic counters, they are usually in the form of an invisible lotion that you apply before your liner and lip color. Finally, getting back to the oily T-Zone,you might try some Beauty Blotting tissues. These are available in most drug stores and are compact enough to fit in a desk drawer. When that oily Time of the day comes, you canjust blot here, and there about your T-Zone(do not rub) and toss. Very inovative! As always, read everything and never take anything for granted. There is nothing worse than not reading instructions or ingrediants, and finding out you’ve applied wrong or applied something your possibly allergic to.
