Ten Foods You Should Never Eat!

Just Say No?

Well, are you ready to strap yourself into your seat-belts as we take a cyberspace ride to that wonderful place called "Just Say No Land?" Oh, sorry about that — what I meant to say was, are you ready to fasten yourself into that belt you wear on those all-too-snug pants you are still attempting to pour yourself into? Many of us know that feeling, don't we? You know the feeling I am talking about — that feeling one gets when trying to feel comfortable in pants that are so snug they haven't decided yet whether to go for the gusto and rip all the way out, or to just tear a little bit at the seams when they go down for the count!

Well, perhaps you do not know this feeling now, but somewhere in your recent past, right? And with all the "low-fat, non-fat, healthy type foods" on the market today, is it not amazing to you how the research studies being conducted in our country, continue to show a rise in the number of deaths due to "preventable diseases?" Are you as surprised as I am that these numbers continue to show an increase in the un-healthiness we suffer from as a nation and that we are becoming unhealthy at a younger age than ever before documented? I would be very interested in "hearing" your thoughts on this question. The jury is still out for me on this issue. I am attempting to educate myself about what I call the "non-fat-phenomonon." Once I learn more about this, I will share my thoughts and findings with you here at Suite 101.

Oh No! Really? My Doughnuts Too?

Yes, of course, we all know that those delicious, lip-smackin', fat-laden doughnuts we love to eat, (especially along with a fresh cup of coffee on a briskly cool Saturday morning), are not any good for us. However, many of us do not realize that we eat foods every day which we are led to believe are really healthy for us. After careful evaluation, as we learn to read and finally understand the Nutrition Facts label guides located on food products, we find out just how deadly these deceptive "healthy-looking foods" really are. (And yes, I did say coffee to all of my health-nut family members out there in cyberspace! I love a good cup of organically grown, freshly brewed coffee! Coffee is just one of the "bad habits" I enjoy partaking of and one that I do not want to give up!)
