Part Two In A Four-Part Series
The kind of food and the quality of the food we put into our body each day is very important to every phase of our existence. Good nutrition regenerates and rebuilds the cells and tissues which make up our physical body. Food to our body is what gasoline is to our car. It is the fuel we get from the foods we eat that keeps us going. Food is more to us than just a substance to fill up a hungry and growling stomach. Eating foods in combinations that are compatible in digestive chemistry is mandatory for optimum health. Combining food properly works! I believe that this can be proven by anyone in a short period of time just by giving it a try! There are those who are skeptical who say that this principle is not based upon scientific evidence. I totally disagree with them. Perhaps the same people who claim that food combining is unscientific, are the very same people who, ten years ago, claimed that a diet high in fiber caused liver cancer! Proper food combining? Do your own scientific study. Try it for yourself and see how you feel after following a few basic principles of proper food combining. The importance of proper food combining has been established as a result of intense research time and time again over the past ninety-five years. Ivan P. Pavlov was one of the very first people who studied this subject extensively. In 1902, Pavlov published a book entitled, "The Work of the Digestive Glands," wherein he revealed the basic fundamentals of proper food combining. There have been many studies substantiating its value, most notably by Dr. Herbert M. Shelton, who from 1928 to 1981, had a school in San Antonio, Texas, where he compiled the most extensive research data available today on the health benefits of proper food combining. In the Journal of the American Medical Association by Dr. Philip Norman, as far back as 1924, Dr. Shelton's work shows the effectiveness and validity of food combining as a science. If this science is violated, a host of health problems may result - one being an enormous hindrance to the successful loss of excess body weight. How does proper food combining affect the loss of excess weight? How do you usually feel first thing in the morning? Do you jump out of bed with an incredible feeling of renewed vitality, ready to take full charge of the day? Or do you just drag yourself out of bed and have a need to pour a whole pot of coffee down your throat to get your day going in the right direction? Do you go through the day with a positive feeling of anticipation of things to come, or do you find yourself wondering how and if you can make it through to the end of the week? Are you still full of energy at the end of the day? Do you look forward to spending some time with your spouse, your children, and your friends? Or do you find yourself at the end of the day with barely enough energy left to fix and eat dinner, then collaspe on the sofa in front of the television prior to passing out from pure exhaustion? As you can see, the one crucial element relative to these questions is energy! And all of us want to have and feel more energy! Well, don't we?
