Winter HeadachesOther things you just can't do much about. Formaldehyde, for example, which is found in furniture, building materials, and synthetic carpeting. I'm seriously considering taking up all the carpeting in my house. It covers every floor but the kitchen. It might not seem so warm and cozy but I think we would feel better. (Good excuse to get rid of the awful pattern the previous owners chose for several rooms, too.) According to a special legislative commission in Massachusetts, indoor air pollution is responsible for half of all illness. While I think that's a stretch, I do believe our indoor air quality has a huge effect on how we feel in the winter.
