Headaches May be a Warning SignI don't know why this is usually the case and it doesn't seem fair, but women are more likely to have headaches from hypertension than men, and hypertensive people below the age of 50 are more likely than older people to have headaches from it. Now of course headaches can be a warning of many other diseases as well. You should simply remember that if you suddenly develop the worst headache you have ever experienced, see your doctor. Also, if you begin to have chronic severe headaches that you hadn't experienced before, see your doctor. And, finally don't let the notion that it's "just a headache" keep you from listening to that nagging feeling in your gut that maybe there's something serious going on. You just may be right.
