I am completely enthralled with this hotel. It is fashionable, upscale, and refreshing. When most other luxury properties seem to be too big, too ostentatious and most of all, too stuffy, the atmosphere at the Kea Lani is hospitable and comfortable and most importantly, casual.
The Kea Lani is Maui's only full service luxury all-suite hotel. Located oceanfront on Wailea's famous Polo Beach, its just 16 miles from Kahului Airport and across the street from Wailea Golf Course. The 416 one-bedroom suites are just one of the many attractions here. Each suite offers separate bedroom and living areas and an oversized bathroom. The interiors are a combination of white, pastels and neutral colors. Linen is lace eyelet trimmed dust ruffles and pillowcases with floral bedspreads. The lanais are double sized, with 2 chaise lounges and enough room for four to enjoy breakfast "al fresco" while overlooking the blue Pacific Ocean, or to enjoy a private romantic dinner for two over one of Maui's famous sunsets. Each suite is filled with luxury appointments. The wet bar, just off the entry area is fully appointed with an honor bar full of local snacks, juices, and a selection of liquor and wine. There is also a coffee maker complete with complimentary Kona coffee, a refrigerator and a microwave. In the closet area, you will find a full sized ironing board and iron and a complimentary in-room safe. The living area is outfitted with a "sofa-sleeper," and an entertainment center that includes a 27" color cable remote controlled TV with complimentary HBO and Disney Channel, a video cassette and laser disc player as well as an AM/FM stereo and CD player. The air-conditioning is individually controlled central units, and two-line speakerphone telephones are great for those travelling with laptops. The bathrooms are oversized and luxurious, a welcome relief to those who have always suffered with small bathrooms on vacation. The large deep bathtubs are situated across the tile floor from the twin pedestal sinks. A mirrored wall tops the marble countertops that hold a make-up mirror and hair dryer. There are two hydro-spas and three pools. One with a slide, another with a swim-up bar and the third is for lap swimming, scuba lessons, and water aerobics classes. The fitness center is complimentary and open 24 hours. It offers an assortment of weight and cardio equipment that includes a universal gym and Lifecycles. Fine dining is found at Nick's Fishmarket. This popular Oahu seafood restaurant now has a home Maui. The menu includes many, many seafood items in a casual open-aired setting. The Polo Beach Grill offers up poolside snacks, kiawe-grilled burgers and prepared salads complete with swim-up bar for tropical drinks. Go To Page: 1 2
