That is the question a lot of people ask, be it on a message board, or in person. Should I use a Ouija board to communicate with the dead? "I always hear such odd stories," says one would-be user. "But I've always been interested in them."
The ouija board has been around for a long time, but only recently (in the early twentieth century) has it been so readily available. I myself have used the Ouija board, and I do have one under my entertainment center, but have never personally had any type of bad experience with one. However, and most people will tell you this, it seems that everyone who has used one has. My cousin said her's started some things in her house, and I was witness to some of it, though I was only fourteen at the time and can't tell if I imagined it or not. The crucifix would fly off the wall at all hours of the day, the dogs would bark for no reason at certain corners of her room than slink away with their tales tucked between their legs. I was told I spoke in a strange language when I was asleep (though that doesn't surprise me as I talk in my sleep even to this day). And finally, when they took the thing out and burned it, it 'screamed' then exploded. Of course, I wasn't there to see or hear that. People will tell you that the ouija board opens a gateway to another dimension, or is a gateway that allows those spirits that are less then good, to come through. Also, you are always told never to use these things all alone. The ouija board, for all it's supposed dangers (real or not) is an enigmatic item. Even knowing the terrible things that could happen should you use one, does not usually deter the normal person. So, alas, here are a few tips I've picked from the minds of those who have used them. That's just a few things I've learned from reading random posts, but whatever the case may be, it is always best to play it safe when messing with the unknown. Should you decide that you would like to use this 'toy', use it in good conscienceness, and use it knowing that you are in control. Make sure you are also in control of yourself, no drugs, or alcohol in your system.
