Trainer Suspensions

More trainers are making drugs the training method of choice in order to compete at the top level. What is even more disturbing is that the major racing organizations do not report it to the public. These are the same organizations that are always crying to racing commissions about how penalties and suspensions are not strong enough. When it comes down to it these organizations do not have enough courage to back up their own words. How can any racing commission take these organizations seriously when they do not even report violators to the public? We had two major trainer suspensions this month for positive tests and they are as follows: Canada's leading trainer Bill Robinson received a two year suspension and twent-five thousand dollar fine. He claims to be retired and his sons and second trainer are training his horses and he believes they should be held totally responsible. He also claims to be on vacation when it happened. He was legally the trainer of record. The Meadowlands leading trainer Ross Croghan received a forty-five day suspension.
