Free for all trotters on both side of the big pond have never before had the opportunity to compete in so many rich races as in this year. In Europe the organizers of The World Cup Trot Series have announced a million dollar bonus if the same horse wins the five races in the series. The European World Cup Trot has until this year consisted of only three races -- the German Elite-Rennen at Gelsenkirchen and the two Swedish races, the Hugo Abergs Memorial at Jägersro and Solvalla's Jubileums Pokal. But this year a brand new French race, the Coupe de Monde Trot at Vincennes and the Italian Premio UNIRE at San Siro, have been added. The organizers had also hoped to implement some races from the U.S. and Canada this year, but this perhaps could happen next year. Here are the races in the World Cup Trot, Europe 2000 (prizemoney in US dollars) June 10 - Vincennes, Paris - Coupe du Monde Trot 2,100m - $150,000
In each race the horses collect points and the horse with most points after Solvalla is the World Cup Trot winner 2000 and will receive a bonus of $50,000. Go To Page: 1
