Mahogany (Episode 3)

I let out a hard breath for I didn't want to leave this room - only if I was going back home to Harlem.

Meanwhile back at Mahogany's...

Bill Sands was rubbing his close cut beard as he stood in front of his closest associates. They were waiting for a response to their question.

“We will rearrange our previous plans as such...Ricky you can stay here at Mahogany’s in one of the upstairs spare rooms. Larry, your wife and children can move in with me and my wife's Brownstone. This should help in keeping you both in a low profile status at least for now. Me and Johnny with the Third District Committee will attend the conference in Chicago on the forth of next month with the previous stated plans of our last meeting.”

They all seemed to agree, for everyone nodded their heads.

“We should proceed to inform the others as soon as possible of the new plans for the proposed mission."

He eyed Tony who nodded as he quickly finished writing the meeting notes before leaving Bill Sands’s office.

“I think we might need to talk to Harry who runs the conference in Chicago.” Larry said.

“Yes, I agree and we should --” Bill said

“Mr. Sands someone is downstairs demanding to talk to you." Bobby said looking awkward in the doorway.

“Let Ms. Sands handle --”

“She is already down there and they are still demanding for you.”

Bill arched his left eyebrow before looking at his associates.

“I will return gentlemen.” he said before leaving the room as the committee members returned to their conversation.

In the front of the Harlem Painters Institute...

Will had a smile the size of New York City on his face; he couldn’t believe he would be starting out in an atmosphere with so many opportunities. His love for art could be traced back since he was a child.

Will gathered his remaining belongings out of Cotee's car. Will left some luggage and artwork at his parent’s home. The thoughts of an exciting year continued to dance in his head when a male voice interrupted Will's groove. Will turned around with some of his large canvas drawings in one hand and a luggage bag in the other. He saw a tall deep brown skinned man with matching opal eyes who was wearing the most awesome dark blue suit.

"Is this yours?” he asked holding a piece of paper that had Will’s drawing on it.
