Defeating Musical Stereotypes

love Pantera, please check it out. You will not be sorry. I swear to you. Other bands to check out, all amazing but nothing in comparison to the bliss that is Living Sacrifice, Embodyment, Mindrage, and Focal Point (now broken up).

All of these bands I listen to day in and day out. They are all filled with very talented musicians, very strong music, and awesome CDs. My favorite of the above? Stavesacre-check them out. Both Friction and Absolutes are awesome CDs. The main difference is the drummer. The Friction album has a more aggressive drummer than the one in Absolutes. Still, both albums are awesome and well worth the money.

How are we to defeat stereotypes? There's only one way-prove the opposition. I have taken the first step. Now you must intertwine your fingers into the puppet strings and take over. Go to your local music store, listen to the bands mentioned above, buy some. Christian music is not something to cower from. Christian hardcore is powerful and every bit as good as the secular hardcore you listen to. You just have to give it a chance to prove itself.
