Finish your style with a matte-finish grooming cream or styling paste. Goldwell Freeze Pudding is a cool product to try.

A: Matrix recently came out with a full-line of products specifically made for curly hair. Their CurlLife system is a complete line containing shampoo, condtioner, and styling products. These should be available at a salon near you.

A: Lots of products promise to prevent fading, but none of them work better that KMS Color Vitality shampoo and conditioner. Wash your hair every two to three days, and always condition afterwards. Use the Color Vitality Leave-in Protector to keep your hair smooth and to help seal in the color. Avoid styling products with alcohol, and look for products containing alpha-hydroxy acids, which will help prevent premature color fading. I find that a few drops of a shine serum worked through dry hair will make your color appear vibrant. A drop or two of Silk Therapy from Farouk will do the job nicely.

A: If flakes are your foe, Dandarrest from Nexxus should be your best friend. Use this shampoo one to two times per week, or alternate it with your normal daily shampoo.
