Maintaining Focus

Narrowing our focus helps us to be more productive. We can mold our daily habits to fit that focus, to accommodate that growth of knowledge and expertise and make it a priority. I've realized a need to be more dedicated to daily Bible study and prayer. As a Christian, I realize God has a plan for my future and I need to be growing, preparing, ready for whatever God has planned.

Ms. George pointed out that no one really "Bursts on the scene," and an "Overnight success" is usually a person who's spent years preparing for success. Are you preparing for success, ready to burst on the scene?

Imagine life 10 years from now. That challenge made me stop and think. In my personal life, my grandkids will be 15 and 18, my husband will be retired, and my college son will likely be married and have given me more grandkids. The daily hustle and bustle isn't quite as important, viewed in that light. In my spiritual life, personal life, and in my career, I realize the importance of maintaining focus and habits that will help me achieve my goals.
