These two songs spring from very different wells of inspiration, but they are both successful in what they attempt to do. Now I have to ask you: what inspires you? Is there anything inside you that urges you to create?
If you want to write your own songs, you have to find inspiration. For some, it is as easy as reading a sign on a wall. For others, it requires hours of soul searching and introspection. Find out what works for you, and you will be on your way to being the next great songwriter.
