A Tme To Question
Now we are after the "High Holidays" and we find ourselves again at the beginning of the winter. Now it is a time to ask ourselves some questions even if we do not have the answers. Not every question needs an answer. The question itself is the beginning of the answer. I do not mean to ask out loud but to ask in your mind, which is an effort believe it or not. When we are aroused by the question our unconscious gets to work processing the ideas generated by the question itself.

The Challenge of Asking
If we will be honest with ourselves we will see that we have a certain inner barrier not letting us ask even the obvious. What are we afraid of? Try and ask yourself some obvious questions and see what happens.

The Power of Asking
Even questions that may seem so obvious that there is no need to ask it as a question, can open the doors for more knowledge. Look at a tree and see how many questions you can come up with? DO you feel anything holding you back from asking? If you do when you have to ask about your personal self you will find eve more of a withholding feeling.

Examples to Experience
Try to ask yourself for example- What is going to make this winter more positive than last year? Is there something I can do different this winter that will make it better? Am I living the way I want to or living according to the way the society dictates? Am I happy in my job? Is my Job a source of pleasure or a source do I feel I have no choice? These are just some examples and each of us can find our own personalized questions to awaken within us that which has been dormant.

Questioning a Foundation to Learning
In our studies of the Talmud and other areas of Jewish learning the foundation of understanding and analyzing is by asking questions. The question opens up the topic as well as your mind to start thinking. It focuses us in o what needs clarity and starts to force us to find a solution or answer to the presenting problem.
