Noah and the Ark - The True Story I

Noah and the Ark
Recently we read in the Torah about one of the most famous historical accounts of the Bible. We read about Noah and the deluge that overtook the world, killing all its human inhabitants with the exception of Noah, his wife and three sons with their wives.

They were saved by building an ark big enough to hold them and two of every animal, along with seven pairs of those animals which are deemed by the Torah as clean animals, which we call today "Kosher."

Noah a Universal Historical Figure
I can safely assume that all of our readers are familiar with Noah from the time they were little children. Being that Noah is the father of all mankind today, it is a part of the Bible that really speaks to everyone, bringing all mankind to the same roots. It is a universally known fact that there was a flood and a person named Noah. From what I have read, more than 215 different cultures from all over the world, even in places that did not or still don't have access to the Bible, such as parts of Africa and the Far East, still have legacies about the flood.

Why are some Skeptical Today about Noah?
It is a part of mankind and mankind's history. Today, though, we live in a world filled with atheists and those who don't want to believe in G-d and the truth of G-d's Torah, so they, with a wave of the hand, say it is nothing but a children's fable (G-d forbid).

In Search of Noah's Ark
The truth is that it is a historical fact. The facts that we have today regarding the Ark are a real challenge to them. There are so many geological facts that point to a world flood that it is hard to deny that there was once such an occurrence. Even more so there have been many sightings throughout the ages of the ark on Mt. Ararat, in Turkey, where the Bible tells us that it came to rest.

There are a number of interesting books written by people whom have been searching and researching the idea of Noah's Ark. They bring documented information regarding true sightings, as well as scientific and archaeological explanations and proofs of the truth about a world catastrophic flood.

After reading some of what is written you become quite convinced that the remains of the ark are still visible on the mountain of Ararat. The ice and snow, which constantly covers the mountain, has preserved it.
