Starting to Live a Spiritual Life in a Non Spiritual World

Oct 7, 2001 - © Baruch Weiner

outlook in life.

We cannot Rely Even on the Pentagon
. What are we relying on? Do we think out strong buildings and security are what is protecting us? Do we think an F-16 is all we flying above us to protect us? Even the pentagon is vulnerable if G_D does not protect it. As we say in Psalm 127:1 If G_D is not guarding the city, in vain the human guard watches.

We cannot rely on human resources for our protection and even the most human protected places. We learn from the Humble little Succah that it is only G_D that is behind the façade of the physical buildings and security we have built.

Brining this all Home
. We can come out of our Succoth, returning to our homes with the ability to Continue living with the comforts that we have been blessed with, whileUsing them to bring us closer to G-d and the ways of His Torah.

We just need to take out some time these days and dwell on these ideas andThink about how we can apply them to ourselves.

I wish everyone a happy and healthy Succoth.
