It is a time to look at our individual and national past tribulations and thank G-d. I think most of us really have what to be thankful for. Even if there have been tough times or worse in some of our lives, I think we can find how G-d was and is with us, even then, helping us out.

A lesson from the ten plagues
. Part of the message of the ten plagues is that G-d is in control of all aspects of the world. G-d is in control lowest parts of the world; being able to turn the water to blood and bringing lice up from the ground. G-d is in control of the animals and of the air. G-d controls the heavens and all that is in them. The last plague, where G-d killed the first born in the Grand Finale, shows that He controls life itself and who merits it. So no matter what has happened in anyone's life or what is happening now, G-d is there running the show. All we need to do is look, and we will able to see within our lives how G-d is there with us.

Our personal redemtions
. Take a moment on the night of Passover and reflect on all the kindness G-d did for us up until now. He has helped us so many times. How many times have we each been redeemed in our lives? I guarantee you that we will never know in this worldly existence just how many. We say in our daily prayers, "We thank You for all the miracles that You do for us daily and for Your wonders and goodness that You do at all times."

Passover- a time to ponder
. Ponder a moment on Passover night on at least some of the personal redemptions which we can all find within our lives. Now is a time to feel a true thanks towards G-d.

But don't stop there. Look forward with hope and trust in G-d. G-d is with each of us and is individually taking care of everyone of His children and of His nation as a whole. Now is a time for redemption, and there are no limits in G-d's abilities.

Take the next step
. In Egypt, as we mentioned, there was also a spiritual exile, one which we can all relate to in today's world. Recognition of G-d and applying it to life was becoming diminished. Today all of us are in some type of spiritual exile, each according to where he or she is holding. This is true in regard both to our recognition of the Creator and in living up to His service. It is a time when we can take the next step in renewing our relationship with G-d.
