Many families have found that traveling with their hounds in an RV or travel trailer is the most convenient way to take their vacations. In an RV the hounds have room to move around, but are at the same time with their families. This method works very well for those who have always loved camping and the outdoors. One thing they all mention as a necessity are some X-pens. With these, the dogs can be outside while the two-leggers are visiting with other campers or just relaxing by the campfire. Another thing seasoned campers with greyhounds mention is the attention they get as soon as the hounds make their first appearance! So not only is this a wonderful way to travel, it is also a way to generate more favorable exposure for the greyhounds! It is a good idea to check ahead with the camp sites on your route. Most welcome dogs, but it is better to be sure.
