The Butlers and Greymeadow have earned the respect and admiration of their peers by being one of the top farms in the nation as well as having top racing kennels at six tracks. Greymeadow was the #1 racing kennel in standings at Derby Lane in St.Petersburg, Fla., this season.
All of Mary's greyhounds are top of the line and have been loved, pampered, and spoiled since birth.
Mary was not on hand to meet our group when we visited a couple of weekends ago, but she left a letter for us - and the letter surely made us feel welcome! Just to show how the greyhounds at this particular farm are thought of, I'm going to reprint her letter in part:
- I apologize for not being on my farm personally to meet you all, but I am working this week at my kennel in West Memphis, Arkansas, and I could not make it home in time for your visit. I am sure my great staff will make sure you are welcome.
My dogs love having visitors greet them, from the little infants to my retired breeding females. They enjoy having their pictures taken, so feel free to take as many snapshots as you wish. Be sure to get a photo of DandySandy smiling at you. (Editor's note: I took this pic, but it didn't turn out!) Our little babies love to be held, so don't be afraid to hold one tight in your arms. (Editor's note: We sure did this! How sweet these babies were!) Many of my dogs will give you a great smile on your arrival, or will just run up or jump up to greet you. You can pet any dog you may want to and they will enjoy all of your attention.
I know some of you have adopted my dogs, and for this I am eternally grateful. I know they give you as much love as your companion as they gave me to raise them. Give them all a big hug for me, if you would.
My farm is open to you to visit anytime. Once again, I am sorry I could not be here to meet you but hopefully you can all come back next year. Have a super great time visiting my farm and dogs.
