Greyhound Collectibles

Upon becoming obsessed with greyhounds, another phenomenon soon catches up with the newly born greyhound addict. I am speaking of having the irresistible urge to buy anything even remotely connected to greyhounds! The normally sensible person becomes absolutely unpredictable. A fever hits you, then as the excitement builds, you become faint, with sweaty palms - it is uncontrollable! You pull out that credit card, checkbook, cash, the person's cash standing next to you(no one is safe!), and start spending! In order to assist you, the greyhound Junkie (and you know who you are), I am listing many places online where you can go and find numerous greyhound items for your collection.

One of the first places I suggest you check out is Sarah Regan Snavely's site. I have mentioned her site before, but it is an extraordinary site and deserves to be mentioned again. Sarah is a very talented artist. On her site you will find etchings, posters, notecards, jewelry, and holiday ornaments. Please visit her site - I promise you will enjoy it!

If you want to see some beautiful greyhound notecards, go to Wilma Nathanson's site,Rosie's Circle. Wilma used her two greyhounds, Rosie and Spencer as models for these exquisite cards. Proceeds from the sale of Rosie's Circle Notecards goes to support greyhound adoption. I have a set of these cards, and I am thinking of framing them - that is how beautiful they are.

Another site I recommend to you is Chrisanthemums. The Stolpe family, Dave, Chris, and Hope developed this home-based, family-run business in order to provide high quality and affordable products for the greyhound. I have one of their coats for my Whitney, and need to order two more for Josh and Rosie. Their products are very well made. They also help by sharing profits with greyhound adoption groups.

One of my favorite places to go is the Mrs. Bones site. These gorgeous collars for cats and dogs are handcrafted in Maine. Mrs. Bones makes special collars for sighthounds. I have known very few greyhound families who can resist buying one of these collars for their resident greyhound. Need I mention how many collars I have bought? I don't think so! Just go to this site and look at these collars, and you will understand what I mean! Remember also that these collars are twice as good-looking in person (so to speak). Mrs. Bones holds a yearly contest, which is explained, on her site. Have fun!
