Christmas is just around the corner! I don't know about you, but hearing those words makes me crazy! It seems like Christmas comes earlier every year. However, this year I will know where to look for presents for my greyhounds and friends who love greyhounds! Greyhound lovers are as creative as the next person. Listed below are sites where you can shop to your heart's content for what we like to call "greyhound stuff."

Hounds Abound shows beautiful artwork by Kim Parkhurst. Kim is a freelance illustrator located in Sherman Oaks, California. On her site you will find some spectacular pictures of greyhounds. She also does custom portraits of your pet.

Sarah Regan Snavely does hand-pulled prints, lithographs and drawings .She makes unique handmade jewelry and holiday ornaments. Each piece is individually handcrafted from polymar clay. Her site showcases her outstanding talent.

Wilma Nathanson has designed some notecards. She used her two retired racers, Rosie and Spencer, as the models. I have a set of these cards, and they are simply beautiful!

Another place where you can really spend the money is the Mrs. Bones web site, which features decorative collars for all sighthounds. My dogs all have Mrs.Bones collars, and people are always stopping me and remarking on the beautiful collars.

The Greyhound Gang web site has a section called "Goodies" where their greyhound merchandise is shown. Calendars and T-shirts can be found here, along with some of the most unique items I have ever seen! Jerry Gall makes naturally rusted steel items with greyhounds on them. You must look at these to understand what I am talking about.

Another person who makes sighthound collars is Karen Hawley. I also have one of her collars. She makes very inexpensive, beautiful and durable collars. Karen and her husband Harold work with the adoption program "Greyhound Friends Northwest" located in the state of Washington.

Kathy Johnson makes spectacular beaded jewelry. She makes beaded jewelry of gemstones and sterling silver. She will also design an original necklace made to your specifications. This jewelry is simply exquisite — I am saving my money for some!

Greyt Options has what they call "Outrageous Necessities for the Hopelessly Pet-Addicted." Jim Stinchfield can do drawings and caricatures of your hound, and Eloise Daniels makes art deco greyhound pins or magnets.

There is also a site called Pet Pads. This is put out by a printing store here in Tulsa, Okla. They make up scratch pads with your pet's picture on each page. They will do children, pets, anything. Proceeds go to the SPCA or to Greyhound Pets of America/OK. If you do check out this web site be sure to notice the example they give. That is my Whitney!
