PLEASE HELP ME!

I feel that Green Home is beginning to loose a little bit of momentum and I would like the advise of anyone who reads this article. I want to get this site really firing on all cylinders again, and, to do that, I really need to know what YOU want from this site. So please, read the question being posed here and then contribute to the Topic Discussion going on here. I promise I will listen.

List of Questions

  1. What sort of articles do you want to see here?
  2. What sort of articles irritate you?
  3. Would you be interested a competition for a book prize?
  4. How can I make this topic more interactive?
  5. Would you like me to include links to other complementary Suite101 topics at the end of each article?
  6. How can I make this topic site more of a community and less of a lecture?
  7. Do you agree with the Mission Statement at this site?
  8. If not, what do you feel this topic's mission should be?
  9. What else would you like to see on this topic's Welcome page?
  10. What additional features would you like to see?

Thank you, in advance, for taking the trouble to answer these questions. By doing so you have allowed me to improve this topic and tailor it better to my readers.

The next part of the article includes my own Mission Statement. Please feel free to comment on this. It also speaks briefly about what I feel is presently lacking here and my own ideas for making this site more interesting, interactive and more of a community.

Mission Statement This site is designed to suggest practical ways that people can behave in an envionmentally responsible way in their own homes.

My ideas on what is going wrong

I have been running this topic for quite a while now. As you can imagine, writing weekly on any topic for week after week can become increasingly more difficult. The writer tends to run out of things to say and start repeating old material or getting rather off the subject.

It is also difficult to maintain a high level of enthusiasm week after week. As a writer, it is difficult to recognise whether my work is being received with enthusiasm. I get ratings and comments from readers. My ratings are reasonably high, though some individual articles have had rather low ratings recently. Please let me know what you really want to see here.
