Linux: Esound

Something quick, simple, cute and powerful to end the month, Esound for Linux is not exactly a multi-track recorder in the true sense.

This program mixes multiple digitized audio streams and samples them together for playback by a single audio device. It also allows monitoring of mixed outputs, and recording. Network connections to the daemon are supported. This can actually be a handy tool to use in conjunction with your multi-tracker.

The software is free, small and very useful. Available as a tar.gz file, this 210 Kbyte program has the following system requirements: Linux Gnome. That's it!

The program is available for download at the link above pointing to the Shareware Music Machine. Do check it out.
