Sounds from the Sisters' Camp

Guess what? The Sisters of Mercy says "We're alive!" again. Anyone who's still awake?

OK! By now, we all know the story of the Sisters, but it's time, once again, to add a few lines to the saga.
Once again frontman Andrew Eldritch promises a new album in the near future. It has happened before. At least once a year since 1995. But this time it sounds like the man is going to keep his promise; this time there are no speculations and no rumours to listen to. Only facts from the band themselves...

Mr E. comments that the band is in no particular rush about the whole thing (like we haven't noticed?), but a few songs are actually done. And if he is talking about the songs we have heard live for a little longer than a year, nothing new really HAS happened, has it?

He states in the same interview that they need around six months to "record and ship around," but I think I've heard all of this before.

Seeing is believing. When I hold a new Sisters' album in my hand, I will believe. Not until then.

Black Tape For A Blue Girl has announced three live dates on the US East Coast. For some reason, though, the two first shows are today, the 3rd of November, the same day that the news reaches me. However the dates are:

Wednesday 3/11 Philadelphia, PA The Philadelphia Museum of art Wednesday 3/11 New York City, NY Irving Plaza (opening for the Creatures) Saturday 6/11 Philadelphia, PA St. Mary's Church, 3916 Locust Walk

More info about these dates at Projekt.
