Goats live in large herds and hate to be alone. In the wild, a herd would have a king buck, a queen doe, and several subordinate animals, mostly female. Dominance is influenced by age, weight, size/presence of horns, and desire to be the alpha, and established through head butting, ramming, and chasing.
