Warning:

Well, this entire article serves as a warning. I'm a contributing editor at Suite101.com. Yes, I know you already know that. But what some of you may not know is that these are the opinions of the editor.

My articles have factual, informative content. They also contain some of my own opinions. I've tried to be as impartial as possible. I like to refrain from saying, "This is how it is, and that's it." I prefer to sit in the middle of the fence on most issues.

Yes, I may come off as too opinionated. Three times this week I've been told that I'm too young to know who and what I am. One person said I shouldn't be writing articles, since I haven't even lived yet.

Here's another opinion: I betcha if I was writing about heterosexual, non-religious, non-political topics, no one would say I was "too young" to be writing.

Yes, sometimes I'm leery of 13-and 14-year olds that say, "Well, I'm a lesbian." Most people say that they knew from puberty that they were heterosexual, gay, bisexual, lesbian, transgender, etc. I didn't quite figure it out until I was around 16 or 17. But I'm not going to tell someone, "You can't know if you're gay or not yet." I've never heard anyone say, "You can't possibly know if you're straight or not yet, give it some time, you might be gay." Who am I to judge?

Yes, I'm fairly young (barely 22). But I've had a lot--and I mean a
lot of time for introspective thinking. Whenever I was confused about what I thought or felt--I read up on it. I talked to people about it. And once the internet became popular, I talked with everyone and anyone. Teachers, doctors, priests, rabbis, and anyone that would listen.

I don't claim to have all the answers. These articles should not be considered impartial journalism. They do contain factual information (websites that I've verified to the best of my ability, excerpts from medical texts, etc). But they are also stamped with a small part of how I see life as a bisexual woman.

You may not agree with it. You may not disagree with it. Think of it as a researched Letter from the Editor. And I hope you enjoy.
