Whiz Kids

The Average IQ of these Exceptional Children is over 200!

Michael Kerney: At age 5 he was in highschool. At age six he was in college. At age 10 he graduated with a degree in Anthropology from the University of South Alabama. This boy is in the Guinness Book of World Records as the youngest to graduate from college. His IQ is over 200. This poor kid has faced numerous challenges. He has been rejected from grad schools and has been labeled as having a wasted childhood. At thirteen he worked on a Master’s degree in biochemistry. His sister is an undergraduate at the same university. She is just twelve years old.

Sho Yano: At age 9 he had a high school diploma. At age 10 he was at college. He was the youngest on campus. He is currently working on a biology major and is an aspiring doctor. He never wastes time, he is a great pianist, and in other ways he is your normal ten year old boy.

Gabrielle Difonzo: At age 6 she considers herself to be a science whiz. She can do science at the college level even though she is in second grade.

Angela Adams: A gifted girl who is seven but no longer has a gifted program due to funding cuts. She is actively seeking a revival of funding for the program, all alone.

Shane Carr: At age seven his IQ was almost 200. However, all he wants is a friend. He would give up his special gifts for such a simple thing as a kindred spirit.

Jon Estrada: A kindergarten student who wanted more of a challenge but couldn’t have it because of financial challenges. Now he is 8 and has found a private school where he can work ahead.

Amy Van Boxtil: A gifted teen in Dublin. She nurtures her gifts at a summer school but has trouble with interpersonal relations with peers.

Chris Langen: Billed as smartest man in North America.

Ruth Lawrence: Age 12: A mathematician at Oxford University. She will never rush her own children through university because she fills it is a negative experience to be pushed ahead so much.

Masoud Karkehabadi: He took a college entrance exam at an early age and passed. He graduated at thirteen with a bachelor’s degree. He is heading to Law School.

This sampling of the gifted teens of the world is very limited. There are many great minds hiding in embarrassment, shame, or poverty. We can only hope that someday they come out and share their gifts with all the world. To be truly gifted, one must be able to share one’s gifts with
