Last Minute Gift Ideas for the Ghosthunter's Christmas

Once again the Christmas season is upon us. The tree is probably up and decorated. All the outside lights and decorations are shining brightly. The majority of the Christmas shopping should be just about done, unless, you're like me. In which case, you've been happily procrastinating your way through the Yuletide season.

But there's no reason to despair! There's still a few days left before the arrival of Christmas morning. This year, as last, we will take a look at some gift ideas for that hard-to-buy-for ghost hunter on your list.

Certainly every ghost enthusiast should have his or her arsenal of tools. Aside from the more technical equipment such as cameras, nightscopes, EMF meters, and recorders, there are some fantastic gifts that could easily fit into Santa's bag.

It seems that we all want to know more about ghostly phenomena. Have you thought of enrolling your ghost hunter in a ghost-hunting course? International Ghost Hunters Society offers certification courses for both ghost hunter and paranormal investigator. Once the student has completed the course, and passed the test, he/she receives certification.

For more information check out their site at ghostweb.com. Also being offered is the ghosthunter course that was developed by Troy Taylor, founder of American Ghost Society. This one is being offered through Flamel College. You can contact Troy at prairieghosts.com for more information.

Another gift idea would be tickets to a ghost conference. Think how much fun your ghost hunter will have sharing stories and photos with other ghost hunters. These are also opportunities to meet a favorite ghostwriter or authority, a chance to get those books autographed. Like the ghosthunter course, this would probably be a gift he/she would never be able to guess. No matter how hard the gift box was shaken.

There are numerous ghost conferences offered throughout the United States. Even though the majority of conferences are conducted during the traditional month of October, there are a few that are presented at other times of the year.

Some of the big ones are Troy Taylor's American Ghost Society's (prairieghosts.com) and those of Dr. Dave Oester's and Dr. Sharon Gill's International Ghost Hunters Society (ghostweb.com). It's doubtful that any ghost enthusiast could ask for a more thoughtful gift. Another thing that makes these ideas so fantastic is that they are perfect for those of us who happen to be last minute shoppers. Wishing you and yours a Hauntingly Happy Holiday Season!
