Ghostly Encounters

Why is it that some folks seem to encounter ghosts more often than others? It could be that these people are more receptive and open to the supernatural than the rest of us are. Or maybe it's a case of being in the right spot at the right time. Then again, maybe the spirits simply pick and choose who they will and will not present themselves to.

Many people can sense a ghostly presence without actually seeing the manifestation itself. Have you ever had the sensation of seeing a quick flicker of light out of the corner of your eye, only to turn and there's nothing there? Some ghost experts claim that this is one way that we can and do see ghosts. Another good indicator there's a ghost around is the eerie feeling that you're being watched. A sudden chill in the room for no apparent reason could also be a telltale sign of a ghostly entrance.

If we can't see them what about actually communicating with the spirit world? Does it really take a special talent to talk with a ghost. Not according to some ghost experts. We are all capable of seeing and communicating with ghosts if we have the desire to do so. The only reason many of us never see a ghost is simply because we don't really want to. Of course some of us who had rather not see them anyway.

Much like the little boy in the movie, The Sixth Sense. By the way, if you're one of the few who haven't seen this one, you're missing a wonderful film. And yes, without giving away any details of the movie, this is pretty how some folks must deal with ghosts in their lives.

Don't head to your nearest cemetery if you're hoping to run into a ghostly apparition. Chances are you won't spot a thing. Even though many new ghost hunters and photographers flock to cemeteries in hopes of catching a glimpse of a spirit or two. What they are really doing is wasting their time. According to some ghost hunters a graveyard is one of the most unlikely places of all for sighting a ghost. The reasoning behind this seems plausible.

A ghost will usually haunt a place because it was familiar to him in life, or will choose to stay in the place where he met his demise. But why on earth would he haunt the place his earthly body is buried? Perhaps they resent the invasion of progress into their eternal rests.
