While the Wessis and Ossis may still have a long way to go in feeling like one nation again, both sides are beginning to make strides in achieving this goal. Some Germans believe that the successful reunification of their nation(s) serves as an example for the unification of all of Europe in the form of the E.U. (European Union), which Germany tends to favor. In the end, though, only time will tell just how successful the process will be.
