I don't know about you, but for me, Christmas seems to come earlier and earlier every year! And to make it worse this year, I'm behind schedule as far as getting things done early, so that will all catch up to me as the holidays draw nearer and nearer. I've found some great sites and ideas online to help me out, and I want to share them with you. Hopefully you'll find something you can use here, and I trust you'll be inspired to expand on the ideas and create your own wonderful crafts!

Here is a wonderful list of ideas to make your Christmas holiday a more "homemade" one: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Flats... . And another wonderful Christmas crafts site can be found here: http://ntl.sympatico.ca/~whogan/xmas97.h... .

Angels are always enjoyable, holidays or not. Here's an easy project to create a lovely little angel: http://www.kidsdomain.com/craft/angel.ht... . She'd be cute to sit on a tree branch or resting on a dresser.

How about some "faux" stained glass? Always a classic, and would be cute hanging in the kids windows. Here's the link: http://www.kidsdomain.com/craft/sglass.h... . (And remember, these can be made for non-holiday times as well!)

Make a beautiful, sparkly wreath for your door. Use freshly cut pine branches and wire them into a wreath shape. Wrap with a short string of battery-operated Christmas lights. Then attach your damaged and broken glass ornaments to the wreath, concealing the damage. Attach a bow, if desired and hang on your front door with a brass wreath hanger.

Wrap the columns or rails on your front porch with metallic paper twist. I like to use red and wrap them like candy canes.

Jazz up a classic poinsettia plant by adding a few pieces of the metallic star garland that have been twisted around a pencil. ALso add a few picks that have little wrapped presents or any little bit of sparkle. Use the same ideas for decorating a wreath!

Have the little ones join in the fun! Have them string pony beads or wooden beads onto a long length of curling ribbon (or some other cord). Tie a sturdy knot in the cord and string on the tree, a wreath or elsewhere.

Start saving the lids from those frozen juice cans! You can create a pin or a decoration. Wash and glue a pinback or a hanging ribbon onto the can, using a heavy-duty glue such as E6000 or Goop. Decorate the front with felt, berries, trinkets, or any other festive items you can find.
