Get Ready For Halloween!

Of course, we must address the topic of Halloween costumes. Now's the time to start thinking about them, as I mentioned before. If you start now, you have plenty of time to elaborate on them, or to change your mind several times, until you find something that really tickles your fancy. Here are some basic ideas, which leave plenty of room for elaboration: http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Acade... . For some penny-pinching ideas, I suggest you check out this site: http://www.stretcher.com/stories/961021a... And for you non-sewing types reading this, have no fear!!! There is hope! Take a look: http://www.cribnotes.com/html/so-98/so-9... . Want to make yourself or your child into a big ol' pumpkin for Halloween? Here is an easy idea that will help you achieve the look: http://www.kinderguide.com/costume.html . And for those of you who want to start early, but never seem to quite get there, here are some "quickie" costume ideas: http://homestead.com/markycady/quicky.ht... . Of course, these quick, simple ideas can always be jazzed up, if you start early enough. And a costume can always be made fancier by using makeup. Instead of buying the commercially-made stuff, how about opting for making your own this Halloween? Here's how: http://www.osweb.com/kidzkorner/makeup.h... In the same way you make your yard decorations simple or elaborate, the same concept can be used in making costumes. Simple can be wonderful too, so don't feel you have to go crazy in the preparations. (But it's always fun and memorable if you do!)

I hope you have found some good ideas in the sites I provided for you above. There are endless possibilities. And when the "hurly burly's done," you can enjoy the memories you have created with your Halloween decorations, costumes and festivities. Enjoy!!!
