Crafting With Polymer Clay

One of the common uses of polymer clay is making jewelry and beads. A common type of bead-making is called millefiori, which entails making snakes of clay, encasing them in another color of clay, then slicing them to make several beads that are identical (or very nearly so). This is a very easy-to-understand site about millefiori . Another favorite project using this type of clay is making roses. They can be so beautiful and lifelike, and their construction is very clearly described here . Clay roses can be used on barrettes, pins, any type of jewelry, or can be used in little craft projects and dollhouse miniature creations.
